In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
God of wisdom, guide this decision to adopt. Help us judge our time, finances, housing, and ability honestly. Lead us to an animal whose needs we can meet faithfully, and protect us from acting only on emotion without preparation.
Teach us to be good stewards of the animals entrusted to us. Give us patience, honesty, and courage, especially when care is costly or decisions are difficult. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
