Prayer for a Sick Cat (Catholic Prayer for Healing)
This Catholic prayer is for healing, peace, and good care for a sick cat. God cares about every part of creation and invites us to respond with compassion, responsibility, and wise action.
Why Pray for Animals?
Animals are part of God’s creation and depend on human beings for humane care. Prayer does not replace veterinary treatment, safe handling, or responsible ownership. It helps us act calmly, gratefully, and mercifully.
“Not one of them is forgotten before God.” — Luke 12:6
Prayer for a Sick Cat
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Creator God, hold this beloved cat in Your gentle care. Relieve discomfort, restore health, and give wisdom to the veterinary team. Calm our worry and help us notice every change that requires attention.
Teach us to be good stewards of the animals entrusted to us. Give us patience, honesty, and courage, especially when care is costly or decisions are difficult. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
“Praise the Lord from the earth… beasts and all livestock.” — Psalm 148:7,10
